However, the most exciting news regarding these two is that both of them will finally be appearing in a film together after years.
Before you start getting flashbacks of Karan Arjun, let us just bring you back down to earth by telling you that SRK’s role in the film is going to be limited to just a cameo. But what a fantastic cameo it will be. We can’t wait to see how it looks on the big screen.
According to the director, Kabir Khan, SRK didn’t need to be convinced of the role. “I’ve known Shah Rukh for a long time and the equation with him hasn’t changed at all. It’s still fun. I was actually very close friends with Gauri, his wife, so we’ve always been very warm and friendly. When I took the idea of this cameo in Tubelight to him, he readily agreed. I didn’t have to convince him at all,” Khan shared.
We hope that the role does justice to SRK’s presence. On his part, director Kabir Khan has assured fans that the role is fitting for someone like SRK. “It had to be Shah Rukh for the role was that of a superstar. Trust me, it’s a great cameo and a fantastic character. Shah Rukh is someone I’ve always looked up to as a senior. He is also probably the most well read person in the industry,” he said.
