Actress Syra Shehroz of Mera Naseeb fame, having starred in a number of TV plays and telefilms, is carving her way into the glorious world of films. After making her big screen debut with a cameo in this year’s first major release, Ho Mann Jahan, the actress signed Umer Adil’s upcoming, familial, ensemble film Chalay Thay Saath. While she is currently busy shooting for the project, word has it that Shehroz has bagged the lead role in another upcoming film called Project Ghazi.
Shehroz will be playing the female lead alongside Sheheryar Munawwar, who is the male lead of the film. When Instep spoke to the actress to verify the news, she confirmed the story and said, “Yes, I am playing the female lead in the film. I haven’t started shooting for the film as yet since I am shooting for Chalay Thay Sath in Hunza these days. Once I am done with it, I’ll begin shooting for Project Ghazi, sometime in July.”
According to Shehroz, Project Ghazi will be shot in Karachi and parts of Islamabad. Shehroz and Munawwar have also worked together in Asim Reza’s Ho Mann Jahaan albeit briefly. Produced by Ali Raza, Project Ghazi is an action thriller with elements of patriotism.
