Sophie Turner shares love story of how Joe Jonas slid into her DM's like Nick and Priyanka

With their wedding just around the corner, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have been taken over headlines yet again after the bride-to-be shared the endearing story of the love birds met.

Opening up about her better half, the 23-year-old Game of Thrones star revealed to Harper’s Bazaar UK that the two, much like Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra had met via direct message on their social media.

“We had a lot of mutual friends. And they’d been trying to introduce us for a long time,” stated Sophie in her cover interview for May 2019.

“We were following each other on Instagram and he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue,” she went on.

The two had first publically been spotted as a couple at the pre-MTV Europe Music Awards Kings of Leon concert in 2016 and by the end of the year were confirmed as a couple by a source who revealed to PEOPLE: “They’re dating exclusively. He was playing the field, but he really likes her and is willing to settle down for her.”

Soon after in the beginning of 2015, Turner officially publicized the relationship on Instagram by sharing a photo of the 29-year-old Jonas wearing sunglasses and a backwards hat, that was captioned: “Miami Daze.”

Later in 2017 around October, Joe finally went down on one knee and the couple got engaged.
