Indian journalist Barkha Dutt faces mob violence attack by cyber bullies

Veteran Indian journalist Barkha Dutt on Monday said she was subjected to severe online harassment in a coordinated mob violence attack where she received a torrent of abusive messages and sexually explicit photos via Twitter.
In a tweet published recently, Dutt wrote:
"I had close to 1000 abusive messages and calls in a Cordinated and violent mob attack. These included a message to shoot me, a nude photo, many sexually abusive messages. I outed the men who did this. Twitter locked me till many of the details were taken down. I wroe this to them [sic]."
The renowned journalist said she received some 1000 threatening calls and messages, which included a nude photo, numerous rape warnings, while she was locked out of Twitter subsequently.
Attaching a picture of the official email she had sent to Twitter urging it to look into the matter, Dutt wrote:
"I would like to place on record my absolute horror and disgust at Twitter's encouragement of sexual abuse and gender inequality."
She continued: "I have been locked out of Twitter because I outed the names and numbers along with evidence of men who stalked me, threatened me with rape and sent me pictures of their genitals."
".... today Twitter chooses to stand with perpetrators of sexual abuse and violence," she added.
