Sanjay Dutt-biopic ‘Sanju’ to hit screens this June, reveals Ranbir
The film will finally see the light of day on June 29.
MUMBAI: Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Sanju’, based on the life and struggles of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, has become one of today’s highly-anticipated movies.
However, recently Ranbir, playing the iconic yet controversial character of Dutt, has himself announced that the film will finally see the light of day on June 29.
Moreover, ‘Sanju’s’ first teaser will be released on April 24 and its trailer on May 8 which is the same date on which Dutt made his big Bollywood debut in 1981 with ‘Rocky’.
Ranbir earlier told media about his experience of working in the film, “We worked really hard at it, doing four months of prosthetic (make-up) trials, lots of disappointments, thinking that it’s not going to work out. But you need to put in that time and effort. It’s a daunting task to play someone like Sanjay Dutt, who everybody knows anyway.”
Initially expected to hit screens in March, the film’s release had to be pushed further due to some objections regarding its title. For now, the movie is named ‘Sanju’.
