Why did Pakistani woman meet Indian cricketer Shami in Dubai?
The domestic spat between Indian pacer Muhammad Shami and his wife Hasin Jehan took an ugly turn when Hasin accused him of having relations with a woman belonging to Pakistan.
The domestic spat between Indian pacer Muhammad Shami and his wife Hasin Jehan took an ugly turn when Hasin accused him of having relations with a woman belonging to Pakistan.
Hasin claimed that Shami met a Pakistani girl named Alishba and even took money from her during his stay in Dubai. Alishba later confessed meeting Shami, however denied giving any money to the Indian player.
According to Indian media, the girl proclaimed herself as Shami’s fan and admitted meeting him after he arrived in Dubai from South Africa tour.
She further said that she had been in contact with the Indian bowler since Pakistan’s victory in the Champions’ Trophy last year.
On the other hand, Shami’s wife Hasin has accused him of being involved in spot-fixing and receiving money from Alishba. Hasin also said that the sole purpose of Alishba’s meeting with Shami was to provide money that was sent from someone in London, adding that it proves his dishonesty with not just her but the country too.
Earlier this month, Hasin made startling claims against Shami when she lodged a complaint with the Kolkata police about her husband’s alleged act of domestic violence and infidelity.
As a result, Shami has been charged for domestic violence and attempt of murder of his wife, for which he could be jailed for up to 10 years.
