Irrfan Khan diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour

After Bollywood’s notable actor Irrfan Khan had left fans and well-wishers distressed with the disclosure of his ill health, he has finally broken the silence and the budding suppositions in the heads of people about his ‘rare disease.’

Earlier this month, the 51 year old actor had taken to Twitter to reveal he has been suffering from a ‘rare disease’ and had requested people to avoid speculating till an official statement was issued by him after a ‘conclusive diagnosis.’ Today, however, he revealed that he has been diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour. The actor has revealed that in spite of this time of turmoil in his life, the love and support of those surrounding him have brought him strength.

“The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumors that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research ;-) To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell,” his Twitter note stated.

Earlier this week, Khan’s wife, Sutapa Sikdar, had also declared “my partner is a warrior, he’s fighting every obstacle.” She had also requested people to not speculate about the actor’s health.
