Thousands of Mexicans gathered in the Mexican capital to celebrate the religious holiday known as Three Kings Day with a mammoth “king cake”.
The celebration in Mexico City’s famed Zocalo Square honors the three wise men’s visit to the newborn Jesus.
That’s when Christians believe God was first revealed to the world in human form.
The city government had provided the king cake, prepared by more than 25, 000 people and thousands of Mexicans gathered to enjoy a piece of the traditional treat.
The cake measured a staggering 47-feet long and weighed about ten tons.
According to reports, it was turned into a quarter of a million slices to hand out.
Some children receive gifts from both Santa Claus and the Kings, but Santa is seen as an imported custom, and the traditional day for Mexican children to receive gifts.
Three Kings' Day is a Christian feast day and celebrated every 6th of the January.
