LOS ANGELES: The 20th Century Fox unfolds the final trailer for 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure', which previews the end of the saga directed by Wes Ball.
It is the sequel to 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials' (2015) and the third and final installment in the Maze Runner film series.
Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and other escaped Gladers set out in seek of answers to earlier questions they have had since the Maze Runner franchise began; only if the team manages to survive through the related apocalypse where the squad comes across Catastrophe: Kill-zone Experiment Department (WCKD), an organization that hopes to find a cure to a virus killing off humanity.
Thomas is given to choose whether to save his friends and those being held captive as test subjects by WCKD, or potentially the entire world.
This James Dashner novel based-off thriller film also stars Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Giancarlo Espositio, Aidan Gillen, Ki Hong Lee, Barry Pepper, and Patricia Clarkson.
The franchise that kicked off with The Maze Runner (2014) was initially scheduled to release the third installment in this year in February but the production went pause when O’Brien sustained severe on-set injuries.
However, after a year span of O’Brien’s recovery, the filming resumed and completed the series once and for all.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure will be set on release in theaters on January 26, 2018.
