Shooting of ‘Gul Makai’- biopic on Malala resumes in September
MUMBAI: The shooting of ‘Gul Makai’—the biopic of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousufzai – will resume next month (September), the film producer said.
Anand Kumar, the producer of the Gul Makai confirmed the resumption of the work. Kumar is excited for the biopic to recommence its shooting once again.
The film is based on the life of Malala, an education activist and the Nobel Peace Prize winner.
Few scenes of the film have already been shot in Bhuj and Mumbai in 2016. However, the shooting was deferred in occupied Kashmir by the cast and crew due to the nervy situation.
Kumar gave credit to the director, Amjad Khan for capturing beautiful visuals that sparks the reality and will bring out the result to the silver screens.
The war scenes have already been shot in extreme locations that demonstrates the subjects of the film which are yet untouched and had an impact on Malala’s life to a great extent.
“The biopic is 50 per cent finished and I am super curious to bring it to the silver screen soon. We have already shot the war sequences and other important schedules. Now we will be shooting with our ‘Malala’ in Kashmir”, said Anand in a statement.
A tight security will be maintained while shooting of the film.
On August 23rd, the film makers will introduce the character, who will be playing Malala in the film. The film will be catering to most of the major events that Malala experienced while raising her voice in the city of origin.
