Alan Ritchson, Catherine's split takes dramatic turn as new details emerge

New and surprising details have emerged regarding Alan Ritchson's separation from his wife, Catherine.

On Sunday, an insider spilled to Page Six that the Reacher star had quietly filed for divorce from Catherine eight months before news of their separation emerged.

As per the latest report, Alan filed the paperwork in Williamson County, Tennessee, in December 2025.

For those unaware, the American actor and Catherine announced their split on Saturday, September 12, via a joint Instagram post.

“After twenty years together, Cat and I have decided to end our marriage and continue alongside one another in a different way," they penned.

“We grew up together,” the exes continued. “We built a life and a family together. And we are raising three incredible boys who will always be the center of our world.”

The two further shared that they still have “love and respect” for each other, adding that  “nothing can diminish what these years have meant to us.”

“The best gift we can give one another — and our boys — right now is friendship, grace and a commitment to becoming the strongest co-parents we can be,” they wrote. “We also want to give each other room to grow into the people we are becoming.” 

For those unversed, Alan and Catherine tied the knot in May 2006.
