Harry Styles clarifies message that previously shocked fans
Harry Styles' earlier email sparked fear among his fanbase
Earlier this week, Harry Styles emailed fans to announce new tour dates.
But what shocked them was a sentence in it that read, "I don't know what comes next."
Worry swept through the fanbase of the ex-One Direction singer, fearing he might retire from music.
Yet, that is not the case, and Styles clarified during nine shows of his residency at Madison Square Garden.
"I sort of just want to be honest about who I am and where I am in my life, and you know, I didn't want to get to the end of the tour as we have previously and sort of say 'until next time'."
The musician added, "Uh, I just wanted to be a little more honest with you about that."
Looking back at his career, Styles said his idea for years was to do more and bigger to succeed.
"I think, since I was 16 and I've been working in music, everything in my life has sort of taught me that everything in this world is about getting more and achieving more and more shows and bigger things and bigger everything."
Yet, now the singer said his perspective has changed.
"I think a lot of things have happened to me in the last few years of my life, different things, that have sort of just changed my perspective, and I'm working on learning to be content with what is enough," he concluded.
