Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show returns to New York City for special broadcast

Jimmy Kimmel is looking forward to his return to New York City.

The 58-year-old American television host and comedian is all set to continue the tradition of special Brooklyn broadcasts of his late-night talk show, according to PEOPLE magazine.

As per the report, Kimmel will revive his show’s unique tradition at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House on Monday, September 28, which will come to a conclusion on Friday, October 2.

For those unaware, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is recorded before a live studio audience at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The guest list for the special broadcast has yet to be announced.

Notably, this comes after Kimmel opened up about what he feels about Brooklyn in New York City Tourism + Conventions in 2025.

“In Brooklyn, you grow up — at least I did — all packed together. You learn to interact with people. You know your neighbors. Most of the time you know your neighbors too well. I haven’t seen a neighbor in L.A. in 31 years. ... In Brooklyn, you learn to talk to people, which, especially if you’re a talk-show host, is good,” he said at that time.

It is pertinent to mention that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will mark its seventh time broadcasting in front of a live audience in Brooklyn.
