Ben McKenzie gets candid about returning for possible 'The O.C.' revival
Ben McKenzie played Ryan Atwood on teen drama 'The O.C.'
The O.C. ended in 2007 after a four-season run. However, one of the series' stars, Ben McKenzie, is teasing that he is open to a return should a revival be set in motion.
He played Ryan Atwood, the central focus of the show, who has a poor, troubled upbringing and later ends up in the public defender Sandy Cohen's high-end home.
In an interview with KIIS 1065, the actor said, “I don’t know that there have ever been serious talks, but I’d be up for it, sure."
Recalling how much he learned from the show despite being young when he starred, McKenzie said, “Yeah, I think so, under the right circumstances."
"It was a great show. We had a great time. I learnt a lot. I was so young; we were all young," the star noted, before adding, “Let’s make it happen.”
Not to mention, McKenzie said one of his kids, who is 10 years old, totally "loved The O.C." and so do other young fans.
“I now have kids come up to me, teenagers, and they talk about what a fan they are of the show. ‘You weren’t even alive when it came out,” said the actor.
“They watch it with their parents," McKenzie concluded.
