Ariana Grande got sentimental as she said goodbye to her fans before stepping away from the spotlight
The Grammy-winning singer wrapped her Eternal Sunshine tour on September 1 after 41 shows in the U.S., Montreal and London.
During her final performance, she talked with the crowd directly and expressed her gratitude to fans worldwide for showing up at her shows and making it an “extraordinary experience" for her, as per a video shared by Pop Base on X.
“This has been one of the most beautiful, extraordinary experiences of my life and I just want to express my gratitude without sobbing completely,” Ariana began. "But really, thank you from the bottarom of my heart. It’s been so special, and I’ll cherish this experience always. I have the best fans in the entire world, and I always have.”
The Wicked star went on to gush over her fans, “And I love your outfits, I love your faces, I love seeing you, I love connecting with you in this way. Thank you for all of your effort for making this so special. All your messages and your costumes and your wardrobe and makeup is just so beautiful."
Ariana further added that she "loved every minute" of the tour with her fans, noting, "I just want to make sure I express how grateful I am."
“Thank you and I love you so much," she concluded.
The end of the Eternal Sunshine tour comes after Ariana announced earlier in August that she “will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes" her shows.
A rep said in a statement, “She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”
