Cindy Crawford 'devastated' as new details of son's death emerge

Cindy Crawford is reportedly "inconsolable" over the tragic death of her only son Presley Gerber. 

“They were so close,” the insider told Page Six on Monday. “What you saw online and in the press wasn’t just for that purpose. They were a tight-knit family and [sister] Kaia and Presley were more than just siblings. Cindy has to be beyond gutted.”

“Cindy is inconsolable," the source added. "She’s absolutely devastated. This is every parent’s worst nightmare, and the family is still trying to process everything that happened.”

For those unversed, Cindy's son Presley passed away on Sunday, September 20, while receiving treatment at a rehab facility. He was 27.

According to the latest reports, Presley died from a drug overdose.

Santa Monica Police Department officials state that the model had checked into a rehab center for treatment during the same weekend he was pronounced dead.

Presley spoke openly about the difficulties he faced over the past few years.

“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” he said on the Studio 22 podcast.

“[Mental health] is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it,” Presley continued. “That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.”

“I’ve seen a lot of stuff and I’ve learned a lot of things. What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made," he added.
