Jessica Mauboy recalls recording hit single 'Get 'Em Girls' with Snoop Dogg
Jessica Mauboy sings praises of legendary rapper Snoop Dogg for her hit song 'Get 'Em Girls'
Jessica Mauboy recently revealed what she had to do in order to feature legendary rapper Snoop Dogg on her hit single Get 'Em Girls.
During her recent appearance on The Mitch Churi Show, the 37-year-old Australian singer and actress claimed that she somehow convinced Dogg to be part of her song for a bargain price.
Mauboy shared, “$50,000! Back then, that was nothing,” showing her reverence for him to feature on her track at such a low cost.
She said, “Not only was it important because it was his craft, it was his credibility! I respected that, he has been around for a long time.”
The Little Things hitmaker added, “When Get 'Em Girls came out it was a different time, I don't think Australia was ready for it! It was one of the greatest, I was in my prime with Snoop.”
“He acted in the video, he did studio time,” she recalled. “He brought his entourage to the music video and was cooking fried chicken! $50,000 is nothing for that!”
It is pertinent to mention that Jessica Mauboy released Get 'Em Girls on September 17, 2020, while the album of the same name came out on November 5, 2010.
