Kelley Wolf apologises to ex-husband Scott Wolf after difficult year

Kelley Wolf, ex-wife of actor Scott Wolf, is opening up publicly about a difficult period with her mental health over the past year.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Wolf, 49, described how the world seemed like to her when she was experiencing breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis, admitting that it all led to "dellusions" and behaviours that may be seen out of character

"After a year of working with incredible doctors, therapists, psychologists, and healers, I have an answer," she said at another slide.

"A perfect storm," she called what was the outcome of stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts, and hallucinogens mixed with prescribed medications.

Wolf then directly apologised to her ex-husband and their three children, expressing deep remorse for the pain her behaviour caused during that time. 

"My brain turned on me. In my illness, I made accusations and did things that make me shudder," she then explained. "I have spent my life believing in love, hope, kindness, and compassion. What I became was the oppsite. Cruel. Viscious. Mean."

She also spoke at length about what she says were "grand and delusional ideas."

"I think one of mine was that I was in the CIA and that I was running for President!" she admitted.

She also thanked her family for staying by her side throughout her recovery and also extended her apology to her longtime community in Utah.

The situation became public last year after Wolf was placed under psychiatric care after reports of concerning behaviour, shortly after Scott filed for divorce. 

Legal proceedings followed, including a temporary custody arrangement and later a period of separation between Wolf and her family.

By early this year, Wolf and Scott were seen spending time together with their children, with Scott sharing publicly that the family is in a period of healing.

Wolf and Scott Wolf married in 2004 after meeting in 2002.
