Apple's next iPhone software update lands in weeks, and after seven developer betas and five public ones, there's little mystery left about what iOS 27 actually delivers.

Siri AI, which is an improved assistant powered by the Gemini AI model obtained from Google, is one of the key features of iPhone 15.

It can analyse the data in your emails, documents, and pictures; provide answers to any questions you have regarding what is on your screen; and automate your house, but there will be no need to use the specific language like before.

It should be mentioned that this feature will not be available for the iPhones and iPads in Europe because of some issues with the Digital Markets Act.

Visual intelligence turns the camera into a lookup tool: point it at a plant, a restaurant bill or a shop, and Siri AI supplies identification, splits the cost or pulls up opening hours.

Like Siri AI itself, it's absent from EU devices for now.

Apple has been behind Samsung and Google in AI photography features, and iOS 27 reduces that gap through three features: Clean up to remove unnecessary objects from photos. Extend to create new content outside the photo itself, and reframe to adjust the perspective after taking the photo.

The Child Safety options now allow parents to lock down a device fully or give their children unrestricted access through one click, including time limits per category and a Communication Safety feature that filters inappropriate content in Messages and FaceTime.

Safari groups open tabs by category and can monitor changes on a webpage. The much-awaited equaliser has finally been added to the long-lost list of AirPods' options.
