Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan face off in '12 12 12' trailer

Apple TV has released the first trailer for its upcoming heist drama 12 12 12, starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan.

The eight-episode series is based on a disgraced FBI agent, played by Mackie, as he pursues an American career criminal, played by Dornan, across Europe. Their rivalry centers around a daring robbery targeting a bank vault hidden beneath the streets of Zurich, Switzerland.

The show gets its title from its unique structure, with each episode moving between three different timelines tied to the heist: the 12 months spent planning it, the 12 hours during which it takes place, and the 12 days following its aftermath.

In the newly released teaser, Mackie's character describes a professional, high-value robbery as one requiring months of planning and hours of execution, while Dornan's character adds that a bank robber who evades capture within 12 days effectively gets away with it entirely.

This marks the second time Mackie and Dornan have worked together after their earlier collaboration in a 2019 film.

The series is created by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble, with Kari Skogland directing multiple episodes, including the premiere. Both Mackie and Dornan also serve as executive producers on the project.

12 12 12 will premiere globally on November 13, launching with its first two episodes, followed by new episodes releasing weekly through the season finale on December 25.
