Anthropic eyes more than $30 trillion in potential revenue: report
Anthropic is expected to tell investors it sees over $30 trillion in potential revenue
Anthropic is reportedly preparing a huge revenue forecast of more than $30 trillion for investors, highlighting the business' bold expansion plans-a forecast that comes as key demand for its AI technology continues to grow, according to a Wall Street Journal report today.
Tech startups and other companies going public often give forecasts showing how much a company or market can expand over time.
These figures are projections of the annual revenue a company could capture if it gained 100% market share. However, a large TAM would justify its historic revenue capital spending and frame its rivalry with OpenAI and Google.
TAM figures are based on incomplete information, but the report underlined that these estimates became even more vague regarding how artificial intelligence adoption will affect entire industries.
The report further underlined that Anthropic is taking into account the complete project requirements with the $30 trillion figure dwarfing the $2.4 trillion in revenue generated last year by the 191 tech companies.
Anthropic could seek to raise as much as $100 billion in its IPO up from an initial estimate of $86 billion. In addition, Anthropic is also targeting an official valuation of about $2 trillion, up from a previous valuation of $1.77 trillion.
