Marvel announces new X-Men lineup for 2028 film
Marvel's X-Men reboot: Full cast and release date revealed
Marvel has revealed the cast for its upcoming X-Men reboot, along with a 2028 release date.
The studio confirmed several members of the new X-Men lineup within the Marvel Cinematic Universe at a recent Marvel presentation.
Sadie Sink is slated to play Jean Grey, joined by Kit Connor as Cyclops and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, both previously rumoured for the roles.
Marvel also announced additional cast members, including Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Inde Navarette as Rogue, and newcomer Maya Boyd as Storm.
Director Jake Shreier, known for his work on Thunderbolts*, will lead the project.
The event also revealed a surprising casting choice: actor Adam Driver will join the film, not as Magneto as many fans expected, but as a character connected to the villain known as Mister Sinister.
The new X-Men film is set to release on May 5, 2028, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the events of the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars.
The film will be part of Marvel's lineup for 2028, alongside other major releases. More casting announcements are expected in the coming months.
