Meet Halo: Lewis Hamilton’s adorable new Golden Retriever puppy

Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton has reportedly welcomed a new addition to his life-a Golden Retriever puppy named Halo.

The 41-year-old driver's new puppy was flown to Los Angeles this week. She will have the same trainer as Roscoe and Coco with Kristin McMillan having already visited her in Maine. 

Maine breeder Goldvia Goldens flew the pup to Hamilton in Los Angeles with third-generation trainer Kirstin McMillian preparing her just as she did for his previous dogs. Kim Kardashian, romantically linked to the Ferrari driver, shared sweet photos cuddling Halo who was perched joyfully on her shoulder.

Unlike Hamilton’s previous bulldogs, Halo is a golden retriever sourced from Goldvia Goldens, Maine breeder that raises its puppies in a home environment with a prime focus on family socialization over traditional kennel upbringing. Notably, the border holds a top 10 ranking in the US and has had multiple dogs ranked nationally in recent years.

The Ferrari’s driver’s bulldog, Roscoe passed away in September last year after contracting pneumonia.

On social platform X, fans have been pouring compelling comments with one user writing, “Don't like golden retrievers. Too sappy and pathetic. Hopefully it's a Labrador, a proper dog.”

Second humorous remark, “The golden retriever puppy, named Halo, was flown out to Los Angeles to join the Formula 1 driver.”

Third added, “Following the passing of his beloved bulldog Roscoe, welcoming Ms. Halo marks an exciting new chapter for him alongside animal trainer Kirstin McMillan.”

Hamilton heads into the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend second in the drivers’ championship behind player Kimi Antonelli. His return to the Hungarian 12 months later was one of his most difficult races during a challenging first season with Ferrari.
