King Charles reaches record approval rating

As the fourth anniversary of his accession approaches, King Charles has reached his highest-ever approval rating, according to YouGov royal family tracker data.

Citing data, GB News reported that 68 per cent of the British public now consider the monarch to be performing well in the role, a figure that has risen six points since the spring.

It comes as anti-monarchy group Republic continues to raise its voice against King Charles and his family over Andrew Mountbatten-Winsor’s links to the late sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

The scandal involving his brother seems to have failed to change how the British public sees the monarch.

The proportion who believes he is doing badly has fallen by four points, to just 16 per cent — roughly one in six adults.

The findings suggest a sustained period of public goodwill towards King Charles, whose personal favourability rating has held steady between 59 per cent and 63 per cent over the past two years, with 62 per cent currently viewing him positively against 31 per cent who hold an unfavourable opinion.

Prince William and Princess Kate continue to occupy the top spot among senior royals, with roughly three-quarters of the public regarding them favourably.
