Its not Prince William that refuses to make good, there is another whose standing strong against the Sussexes too – Read more to find out
The Royal Family has been splitting into two, for a while now and the divide has become so thick, its being considered a chasm. Reason being Prince William and Kate Middleton are putting forth demands of retribution while King Charles is intent on getting things back to the way they were.
Insight into this comes from a well-placed source, who spoke to Heat when getting up close and personal.
According to them, the Windsor’s are under no impression that the past can be returned to, however much Charles wants everyone to ‘move on’.
Towards this end they say the only way William and Kate will budge is if first by building trust, not bridges “and, right now, that doesn’t exist.”
On the flip side, given his own battle with cancer and the current state of the slimmed down monarch, they say, “Charles believes the monarchy has to think long-term, and Harry, Meghan and the children could still have a role in strengthening the institution if relationships could somehow be repaired.”
All in all, it’s a battle of wills, at the moment but one that is marred with hurt and private seething because there were a number of allegations made in the past that Kate Middleton couldn’t respond to for example, and as a result, its now playing a part in their demands.
The source explains it by saying, “people often assume William is the emotional one because he’s naturally more outspoken, but Kate has been carrying this quietly for years. She was hurt by the way events unfolded and the public narrative surrounding her – she feels she became collateral damage in someone else’s story.”
Before concluding the insider also says, “from [William’s] perspective, asking everyone to move on without that isn’t reconciliation, it’s denying anything happened. He’s told Charles that he can’t move on without that – too much damage has been done. He knows how much it affected Kate, and seeing how hurt she’s been has made him more determined to hold his brother accountable. He can’t separate his public and family life for the sake of constitutional duty.”
