Prince Harry throws Meghan Markle into the ring against King Charles’ guard dog

King Charles and his ‘guard dog’ are turning into quite the issue for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. That too because she’s found herself absolutely into the deep end, with a ‘pretty awkward’ taste in her mouth, post UK trip.

For those unversed about the identity of this ‘guard dog’ its none other than Queen Camilla because as a source revealed, King Charles and Queen Camilla are ‘package deals’ these days.

They also admitted according to Heat, “Harry was pretty disappointed that he didn’t get even a moment alone with his father” however, the fact remained that “he had no choice” but to accept the terms of this visit “and make the best of it” at the same time. So he and Meghan “made nice with Camilla,” but “it was pretty awkward.

According to them, Meghan is the only party who hasn’t given up because they say she’s “still on a mission” to win Camilla] over. As it stands “she’s not ready to accept that she can’t find a way to charm her, but Harry’s much more realistic about it.”

After all, he’s “known Camilla long enough to know how she operates,” the same insider even warned. “She may smile but Harry is not naive enough to take that at face value.” Moreover, Camilla “has clearly appointed herself as his father’s guard dog” and “as far as he’s concerned, she’s become the biggest obstacle to rebuilding any kind of trust with his father.”

The insider also said at one point, “these days, you don't get Charles without Camilla, they’re a package deal. In that way they’re very similar to Harry and Meghan, so it’s not exactly something they can complain about without being hypocritical.”

The fact is, Charles “relies very heavily on Camilla these days,” any “decision he makes, especially when it comes to personal matters, involves her and the fact that she doesn’t trust Meghan’s intentions is going to heavily influence how Charles proceeds, there’s no way around it.”

Before signing off the insider also said, “no matter how many gift baskets Meghan sends, it's very unlikely Camilla will ever soften her stance because, in her mind, she's protecting Charles from being hurt all over again.”
