Galaxy Unpacked July 2026: What to expect from upcoming announcements
Samsung's July 22 Galaxy Unpacked can debut wider Galaxy Z Fold 8, renamed Z Fold 8 Ultra, plus the Z Flip 8
Samsung is confirmed to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22 in London, and if the leaks hold up, it won't just be another annual refresh. For the first time, the company is expected to launch three foldables at once, alongside a naming shift that's already dividing early reactions.
The livestream is set for July 22 at 9am Eastern, 2pm in London, with confirmation of what's real, and what's rumor, until then here’s what we can expect from the upcoming announcements.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8
According to leaks, Samsung plans to introduce a new wide-format foldable as the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the familiar narrower design carried over from the Z Fold 7 gets bumped up to "Ultra" status. Rumored specs point to a 5.5-inch cover screen and 7.6-inch main display for the wide model, dual 50MP rear cameras, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and a starting price around $1,899.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
Leaks suggest the Ultra model retains most of last year's Fold 7 design language while picking up a sharper primary display, a 200MP main camera, and a possible price increase to around $2,099. Both foldables are rumored to run One UI 9 on top of Android 17 out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 and new Watch 9
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to see fewer changes, largely limited to a new chipset, according to recent leaks. Samsung is also rumored to announce the Galaxy Watch 9 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, both reportedly switching to Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite chip and featuring modest display and battery upgrades over their predecessors.
Leaks have also pointed to Samsung's rumored Galaxy Glasses, codenamed Jinju, though it isn't confirmed whether they'll appear at this specific event. None of the pricing or specs above are official, and Samsung has yet to confirm exact device names.
