King Charles rejects psychic's predictions about his abdication

King Charles has apparently dismissed a celebrity psychic’s predictions, he made back in 2022, about the monarch’s abdication.

The celebrity psychic John Hughes had predicted the future of the Royal Family, including Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, King Charles and Prince William.

However, despite cancer diagnosis and passing of four years, King Charles continues his royal duties and has not abdicated yet.

Speaking to BirminghamLive at the time, John Hughes had predicted King Charles would abdicate 'within seven years'.

He said then: "He doesn’t want to waste millions of pounds on a state funeral. William will take over the role within the next seven years.

"I know the late Queen (Elizabeth II) couldn’t abdicate because she couldn’t walk away from the trauma, she went through a lot with Prince Andrew and Princess Diana.

“I know Charles will not be able to fulfil his mother’s boots. It’s too much of a big job so he will restructure the Royal Family and put a young King in."

King Charles has been receiving cancer treatment for more than two years, following his diagnosis in February 2024.

Despite the treatment, King Charles is intact to his position and continues royal duties with full strength, seeming dismissing the predictions about his abdication.

Abdication has historically been a "no-go topic" for the British Royal Family, following King Edward VIII's abdication in 1936, it has been claimed.
