Princess Eugenie turns up Andrew’s temper with ‘personal insult’ over new baby
Princess Eugenie’s family falls into utter disarray and is now forcing the pregnant daughter to ‘change her mind’ about a lot of things
Princess Eugenie’s due date is fast approaching and while this baby news has allowed the York sister to slowly return to social media, with a carefully curated Instagram spread, sources warn she is very protective of her image and has taken many measures to prevent her father’s shadow from ruining anything.
The news comes straight from the insiders’ interview with Heat World and contains many candid admissions.
According to them, Eugenie is living a life with her priorities set in stone, and her “number one” is “having this baby with the absolute minimum of fuss,” so she “doesn't want the hospital turning into a circus” by her parents and “she's made that very clear.”
“Unfortunately, her parents are not taking it well and she’s getting a ton of pushback from Andrew and Sarah,” they source admits.
Andrew especially is said to be “fuming” and “taking it as a personal insult.” As it stands, “he doesn’t seem to care that if he’s there it will become the main focus, which is the last thing Eugenie wants.”
Meanwhile their mother is taking a different approach, and has been “pleading” with Eugenie to reconsider because “she desperately wants to be there to welcome her new grandchild into the world.”
Her husband is also anti-York at the moment, as reported before so Jack's “been encouraging Eugenie to stick to her guns but of course it’s very difficult because she hates upsetting her parents.”
Currently, as the source puts it, “the hope is Sarah might quietly be allowed to sneak in at some point, but Andrew has been told he has to stay away, giving birth is already hard enough the last thing she needs is to be worrying about the fallout that will inevitably happen if he shows up.”
But this decision is said to have many longstanding effects and the source even says, “if Andrew wasn't already so bent out of shape about the way he feels he's being treated by the family, this probably wouldn't even be on his radar. He adores his grandchildren, of course he does, but he's never been the sort of granddad who insists on hovering over every birth the way Sarah tends to.”
The problem is he's become so ‘defensive’ that he's “looking for any little sign that the girls are distancing themselves from him” and “he's latched onto this as though it's some huge test of loyalty.” In his mind, Eugenie “ought to be proving she's still firmly in his corner by at least letting him come to the hospital and feel part of it all.”
This is causing such massive back and forth behind closed doors, that Eugenie for example keeps telling him that's “completely missing the point.” Per the insider, for her this isn’t the time to be making some big ‘public statement’ instead, it's “simply about having the birth she wants with as little fuss and distraction as possible,” as they put it.
Before concluding they also said, “She can’t understand why he won’t accept that she just wants a bit of peace and quiet to settle in with the baby before everyone starts descending. She's promising that they'll all get their turn soon enough. The truth is, Eugenie and Jack still don’t even want to be seen in public with him, they’re not about to let him turn this momentous day into some sort of PR exercise, they’re pretty appalled he’s being so pushy about it.”
