Prince William, Harry share heartfelt messages separately after disappointing update

Prince William and his estranged brother Harry have shared emotional messages separately but for the same reason despite their ongoing rift.

Kensington Palace, on behalf of Prince William shared the message after England was defeated in FIFA World Cup semi-final on Thursday.

Argentina stunned England in comeback to reach World Cup final.

The Team England took to X, formerly Twitter handle, and shared the disappointing news saying “Our FIFA World Cup semi-final ends in defeat.”

Reacting to it, Prince William said, “Gutted. England, you gave it everything and we are all so proud of you.

“Thank you to everyone on and off the pitch, for an incredible tournament. The fight and belief you have shown has inspired us all. The most complete England team in a tournament. Hold your heads high.”

The message was shared with letter ‘W’ which shows, it was released by Prince William personally.

Harry also shared an emotional reaction to England's heartbreaking defeat as he stepped out without wife Meghan for a solo appearance in New York City following their trip to UK.

Harry attended the TIME100 Sports Gala on Thursday evening, where he was asked about England's crushing 2-1 loss to Argentina in Wednesday's semi-final.

When asked whether he was saddened by defeat, the Duke gave a brief but heartfelt response. "Of course.”
