King Charles declares England ‘Pride of nation’ after loss against Argentina
King Charles cheers on England national football team after loss in World Cup semi finals.
The Royal Family is sending a special message to England’s Football team after a tough game against Argentina.
Turning to its official Instagram page, His Majesty sent an uplifting message to captain Harry Kane and his team.
Sharing a photo of Kane and fellow player, Jude Bellingham, the post captioned: “Commiserations to Harry and the team.
While you Three Lions may be licking your wounds today, you remain the pride of a nation - and will rise again.”
Earlier, The Prince of Wales also turned to his official Instagram page to speak over the match.
He captioned the post: “Gutted. England, you gave it everything and we are all so proud of you.”
The Prince added: “Thank you to everyone on and off the pitch, for an incredible tournament. The fight and belief you have shown has inspired us all.”
“The most complete England team in a tournament. Hold your heads high,” he adds.
