Prince William takes major 'strategic' move against Harry, Meghan Markle

A royal expert has claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton have taken a major 'strategic' move against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their trip to UK.

Royal expert Helena Chard has told the Fox News Digital that ‘eager’ Charles has always hoped to see his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.

The monarch is still undergoing treatment for cancer, and “family matters more than ever”, she said and added, “Despite years of public fallout, he would not pass up the opportunity to privately see his grandchildren."

King Charles reunited with Harry, Meghan and their children last Friday during their trip to Britain amid hopes of reconciliation.

However, Prince William and Kate did not meet the California-based royal couple amid their ongoing rift.

Commenting on it, Helena said, "Reports still describe a 'total blackout' between the brothers.”

"There is no sign of the rift subsiding anytime soon”, Chard said and added, “I don't see the Prince and Princess of Wales absence as a snub. It is strategic. You can't have an institutional reconciliation without Prince William, the future king."

Regarding King Charles meeting with Archie and Lilibet, the royal expert said it was ‘long overdue’.

"It is, however, a delicate balancing act for the crown. Symbolically, this meeting was huge, but it's not an institutional reconciliation. Charles had always left the door open. I guess it's a few small steps forward."
