Kanye West's ping pong room displays one striking artwork on the wall
Kanye West is known for making striking statements via art
Kanye West once said, "You may be talented, but you're not Kanye West."
This significant quote, though not literal, seemed to have translated into a striking portrait hanging apparently in his house's ping-pong room.
Aus Taylor, the rapper's frequent collaborator, purportedly created the artwork, titled You (Untitled) (2024).
The piece is an example of the Donda hitmaker's star power and his larger-than-life persona.
Taylor's artwork is hard to ignore, and his support for West was even tougher to miss.
And apparently the Chicago rap star remembered this, especially on his 49th birthday.
On the occasion, he delivered an emotional tribute to his long-time collaborator.
“Thank you for giving a young Jedi a chance when the commercial directing world disowned me for choosing to stand next to someone who I consider a hero, a mentor, and a brother,” he said in a post on Instagram.
“You breathed light and confidence into me. I chose the right side of history [and] I wish the world knew this man’s heart the way I do.”
West's post was a reference to the industry shunning him over his anti-Semitic remarks.
Though the rapper has repeatedly apologized for his past toxic behaviour, some of his critics remain unconvinced.
