Keith Urban reaches out to ex wife Nicole Kidman first time after divorce

​Keith Urban is sending his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, a sweet wish post-divorce.

​The country singer took to his Instagram account on Saturday to mark the birthday of his former partner Nicole, who turned 59 on June 20.

​Keith, who shares two teenage daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, with Nicole, posted a simple story with a blue background with text in white that read, "Happy birthday Nicole Mary!"

​For those unversed, Mary is the Babygirl actress' middle name.

​This came as the first public message Keith sent to Nicole after the pair parted ways after 19 years of marriage.

​The pair reportedly split in September 2025, and Nicole filed for divorce at the end of the same month. The former couple finalized their divorce on January 6, 2026.

​Keith's birthday wish came after Nicole was said to be dating a mystery “high-profile businessman” as per online site Deuxmoi.

​A source told the outlet, "We're told the relationship has been quietly developing for the past few months and the pair have been keeping things extremely low-key and largely out of the public eye."

​Moreover, it was reported earlier this month that Keith was finding it hard to adjust to his professional and personal life after his split and trying to cope by spending money on self-care and personal grooming.

​After he made his first major appearance without Nicole at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May, a source told Woman's Day magazine, he "didn't look comfortable at all."

​"His smile didn't meet his eyes this time. It's clear he was a little lost without his former 'other half,'" the insider shared at the time.
