Bunnie XO reveals exact cause of her divorce from Jelly Roll: 'I was so fed up'

Bunnie XO has finally spoken publicly about her divorce from Jelly Roll for the first time.

For those unaware, Bunnie and Jelly first met in 2015, tied the knot in August 2016 in Las Vegas, and renewed their vows in 2023. After almost ten years of their marriage, Jelly filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences” in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18, 2026.

On the Thursday, June 18 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, the 46-year-old American media producer broke her silence for the first time since the news came out.

She tried to control her emotions while she talked about her tumultuous relationship with the Wild One crooner, calling it a “recipe for disaster.”

Bunnie revealed, “[Jelly Roll] and I have never really been good at having disagreements,” adding that they were “the type of couple who never argued.”

“So, he would be holding things in. I would be holding things in, and that's a recipe for disaster,” she stated.

Notably, things got worse between the couple on Mother’s Day this year when they found themselves embroiled in a heated argument that ultimately led to their separation.

Bunnie recalled, “On Mother's Day, we had a little bit of an argument, which I don't think the details are necessary. And, in that argument, I was so fed up and so tired that I just looked at him and said, 'Well, then file the f****** divorce papers.''

She then packed up her stuff and left Jelly, as she quipped, “In our relationship, that is the one cardinal thing that you don't say, even though my husband has said it numerous times 'cause he's the runner,' she said of her 'divorce papers' taunt.”

“But, when I say it, it really holds weight because I'm not the type of person who says what I don't mean,” the podcaster quipped.

It is pertinent to mention that the former couple did not welcome any biological children during their marriage, but Bunnie XO was the stepmother of Jelly Roll’s kids from his previous relationships: daughter Bailee Ann and son Noah Buddy.
