Pulp share details of upcoming live album Live! and concert film
Pulp's O2 performances coming to fans as album and movie
Pulp have announced a new live album called Live! and a concert film titled What Do You Do For An Encore?.
Both projects were recorded during two concerts the band performed at The O2 in London in June last year. The shows took place shortly after the release of More, Pulp's first studio album in 24 years.
The concert film was directed by Garth Jennings, who previously directed the band's 1997 music video for the song Help The Aged.
Jennings also helped create the stage design for Pulp's reunion shows in 2023. In a recent statement, lead singer Jarvis Cocker explained the meaning behind the album title.
He said concerts are where songs "come back to life," which is why the album is called Live!.
Cocker said the title is both a description of the recording and an invitation for audiences to feel energised by the music.
A live version of the song A Sunset from the concert has already been released.
The concert film will be available on MUBI this autumn. Meanwhile, the live album Live! will be released by Rough Trade Records on 28 August 2026.
