Sabrina Impacciatore recalls her first meeting with 'maestro' Al Pacino
Sabrina Impacciatore and Al Pacino's new film 'In the Hand of Dante' is set to debut on Netflix on June 24
Sabrina Impacciatore has opened up about her first meeting with In the Hand of Dante costar Al Pacino.
Speaking to People magazine on Friday, the 58-year-old actress admitted that she was starstruck when she first met The Godfather star.
"When I met Al Pacino, I was in a restaurant," Sabrina recalled. "He was sitting next to me and my friend, she said, 'Sabrina, don't make a scene, stay still. There could be bodyguards around.' And I resisted the entire evening."
When her friend was off paying for their meal, the White Lotus actress said she literally fell to her knees as she addressed Al Pacino.
"I promise," she added.
"And I told him, 'Maestro, thank you for all the beauty that you give to my life and everything.' And so I started to talk to him," she says, "and you know, what he did [was] the greatest: he went down on his knees and he hugged me," said Sabrina.
"And we were in the middle of the restaurant on our knees, hugging each other. It was incredible," she shared.
It is worth mentioning here that In the Hand of Dante is scheduled to release on Netflix on June 24 following a limited theatrical release on June 12.
