Niall Horan recently opened up about how his solo performance of his former band One Direction’s Steal My Girl amazed him.

The 32-year-old Irish singer-songwriter and musician performed Steal My Girl before 80,000 fans at the Capital FM Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium.

Horan was invited on the recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where the host asked him to share his experience on doing the “whole song by yourself.”

Considering the fact that he had some lines in the original studio version of the famous song, the Drag Me Down crooner shared, "That's so funny you say that because I was thinking, as I was singing it, literally as I was singing the first verse, I was like, ‘I've never sung this verse before.’”

"I would have only ever sung my part, so I don't think I've ever sung any those [other] verses before. And here I was in front of 80,000 people going, ‘Oh crap, I better not forget the words here,’” Horan elaborated.

And if he had forgotten the lyrics, many of One Direction’s and his fans would have reminded him of the lyrics by singing the song.

It is pertinent to mention that Niall Horan’s performance on Steal My Girl comes a few months after he claimed that the song from the band’s 2014 album Four was One Direction’s most “underrated” song during his interview with NME.
