John Clarence Stewart proposes to 9-1-1: Lone Star's Natacha Karam in romantic setup

9-1-1: Lone Star actress Natacha Karam is engaged to actor John Clarence Stewart.

The couple shared the news on Instagram with a series of photos from the proposal. Stewart proposed under an arch covered in pink and purple flowers, while candles and rose petals filled their apartment for the celebration.

Karam also penned an emotional message to go with the photos, writing, “Life is so much better with you”.

In the images, the couple hugged, kissed and celebrated together after the proposal. Their dog also appeared in the pictures wearing a shirt that read, “My humans are getting married”.

Stewart is best known for starring in NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, while Karam played Marjan Marwani in the hit drama 9-1-1: Lone Star.

The engagement comes months after 9-1-1: Lone Star ended with its fifth and final season. The series, led by Rob Lowe and Gina Torres, officially concluded earlier this year after Fox announced its cancellation in 2024.

At the time, showrunner Ryan Murphy explained that the decision was mainly due to financial reasons despite the show’s popularity. He also confirmed that another 9-1-1 spinoff was being developed in a new city.
