The Oscar-winning actor introduced his beloved pets, Charlie, Osita, Cookie, Rudy and Scoutie and explained why rescuing animals has become an important part of his family's life.

"We have five dogs already ranging in age from two to 12," Matt said. "We love to rescue dogs. They're just the greatest."

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Damon's eldest dog is named Charlie, but the actor says they called him "Charles."

He said, "We live in Brooklyn, so it's tough to keep accruing these dogs, but we love them and we do give them a great life."

On the professional front, Matt Damon is set to appear on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.

Ahead of the release of the film, the actor told GQ earlier, that he spent a month bartending in Knoxville, Tennessee, to perfect the accent of aspiring lawyer Rudy Baylor in the 1997 film The Rainmaker.

Matt said, "It was in a Francis Ford Coppola movie, and I had a month to kill. And then we were gonna have three weeks of rehearsals in Napa Valley, where [Coppola] lived. And so I went, I moved to Knoxville, and I just told the manager, this woman, I just told her what I was doing ... so it was an extra bartender for her at no charge, right?"

"I was like, ‘I'll give all my tips to these guys, and I just need to be here.’ But if you're serving drinks to people, they talk to you," he added.
