"I really appreciated working with him," Bridges told People about Cruise, famously starred as the title character, a sports agent who sets out to start his own agency.

"He's a wonderful actor and just gets better with age. I mean, he's still doing all those crazy stunts and stuff. Yeah. And I like working with him. I thought he was great."

Cruise was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor for the role, while Cuba Gooding Jr. won for Best Supporting Actor for playing Rod Tidwell.

Meanwhile, Bridges played Matt Cushman, the father of football prospect Frank “Cush” Cushman (portrayed by Jerry O'Connell) in the Cameron Crowe-directed film.

Bridges, who is himself a three-time Emmy, two-time Golden Globe and one-time Grammy Award winner, also admitted he was surprised to learn he had not received an official screen credit for the movie.

“That was so long ago, I can’t remember exactly why,” Bridges said, adding that he had even forgotten about the situation until fans brought it up years later.
