Jimmy Kimmel wins second straight Emmy for game show hosting

Jimmy Kimmel has won the award for Outstanding Host for a Game Show at this year's Creative Arts Emmys. 

This marks his second consecutive win in the category for hosting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Kimmel, 58, took over hosting duties for the game show in 2020. 

Kimmel's late-night talk show is also nominated in other categories at this year's ceremony.

Other nominees for Outstanding Host for a Game Show this year included Steve Harvey for Celebrity Family Feud, Ken Jennings for Jeopardy!, Colin Jost for Pop Culture Jeopardy!, and Martin Short for Match Game.

Harvey has hosted Celebrity Family Feud for over a decade, earning multiple Emmy nominations for the role. Jost, known for his work on Saturday Night Live, began hosting the Jeopardy! spinoff when it launched in 2024. Short took over as host of Match Game following its revival in 2025, continuing a legacy that dates back to the show's original run in the 1960s.

Jennings became the host of Jeopardy! after the passing of longtime host Alex Trebek, and later expanded into hosting its celebrity spinoff as well. This marks his fifth Emmy nomination in the category.

The Creative Arts Emmys are being held over two nights and will air later this month, ahead of the Primetime Emmy Awards broadcast in mid-September.
