Prince Edward, Princess Sophie show off their gratitude after a busy few days in Lisbon and Porto

The royal family’s official Instagram page has just updated fans on the Portugal trip that Prince Edward and Princess Sophie recently took.

A collection of images have even been shared as a result and shows everything the pair got up to in both Lisbon and Porto.

A text with more insight also accompanied the images and reads, “Thank you for a wonderful visit to Portugal!”

“From baptising a cask of Port to putting up tents with young people on the DofE International Award, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have had a busy few days in Lisbon and Porto.”

“Highlights included visits to Batalha Monastery, Porto Cathedral and Casa da Música; speaking at Model NATO about Women, Peace and Security; receiving the keys to the city at Porto Town Hall; and jumping on a famous Lisbon tram.”
