Clint Eastwood retires at 95 as son Kyle recalls 'good memories' working with him
Clint Eastwood has officially stepped down from filmmaking at the age of 95.
His son, Kyle Eastwood revealed in an interview that now Clint has retired. Reflecting on his long professional and personal relationship with his dad, whose career has spanned more than seven decades, Kyle said, "I have a lot of good memories of working with him. Now he’s retired, he’s 95 years old," as per Euronews.
He noted, "I’ve been very lucky to be able to work with him on a lot of films. It was a great experience for me."
Kyle Eastwood and Clint Eastwood collaborated on several projects, with the son contributing music to films including Million Dollar Baby, Letters from Iwo Jima, Gran Torino and Invictus.
It is pertinent to mention that no statement regarding his retirement has been issued from Clint. If the retirement is permanent, Clint's final directing project will be the 2024 courtroom thriller Juror No. 2, starring Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette.
Meanwhile, his last acting appearance came in the 2021 drama Cry Macho, which he also directed.
The actor and filmmaker leaves behind one of the most celebrated careers in Hollywood history. Throughout his career, Clint directed more than 40 feature films and earned four Academy Awards, including Best Director and Best Picture honors for Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby.
