Now, the country's key city, Glasgow is set to host a UFO conference next month, according to the Glasgow Evening Times.
Named the Supernatural Secret Scotland Conference, the event will take place at the Queen Margaret Union at the University of Glasgow on June 6.
The conference will attract a string of commentators who will weigh in on paranormal activities and sightings of UFOs.
Lynn Picknett, a paranormal author best known for The Turin Shroud, is set to attend the conference.
She will deliver a presentation on The Unchosen at Number 15, a matter that sparked much intrigue among UFO circles.
In addition, Ron Halliday will weigh in on 'Are Aliens Among Us?' and Alyson Dunlop will reflect on 'Elvis: King of Mystics.'
On the other hand, Malcolm McQueen will explore planetary archetypes, while Paul Owens will open up about the mystery of Overtoun Bridge.
