Ex Prince Andrew’s unofficial biographer just dropped a monumental bombshell about the former royal who is said to have been abusing his power for over 40 years now.

The author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York spoke about this for the i Paper.

His starting words did not shy away from stating this very fact either because in Mr Lownie’s own words he feels, “the Yorks’ abuse of their royal position is nothing new,” as its “been “going on for 40 years and appears to have inspired, amongst others, the Sussexes.”

“A blind eye was turned in the hope the news agenda would move on – whether it was Ferguson selling access to Andrew as trade envoy in 2010, or the 2022 High Court case which revealed a payment to Andrew, Ferguson and one of the daughters for £1.3m from a Turkish millionaire which they refused to explain,” he also said.

The final nail on the coffin however he discussed seeprately and at length. In his view “it has been the Epstein releases, with their cringe-making detail about the couple’s shameless behaviour, and wider calls about royal privilege and accountability that forced King Charles to take action last October.”

But “even then, I believe it has been too little and too late,” he pointed out. Reason being “the scandal should be used to ensure that there is proper transparency in Britain’s most protected institution and the monarchy is fit for purpose in a 21st century democracy.”

After all “the relationship between the Crown and the people depends on trust and respect, and that has been broken by the Yorks’ behaviour,” which is what the author said before signing off fully.
