Cardi B reportedly "pulled away" from "tensions" amid her on-and-off romance with Stefon Diggs.

​After the rapper and the NFL star made public appearances together, rumors of their reconciliation have been swirling, as Cardi and Stefon seemed distant back in February.

​Now, a source has told People that Cardi felt Stefon was keeping secrets "behind her back," so she distanced herself at the time. She was too emotionally drained to fight about it.

​The insider stated, "Cardi pulled away from the drama in February."

​"She didn't trust him and felt like things were going on behind her back. She wasn't in a place emotionally to deal with fighting and tension."

​As Cardi was also busy with the Little Miss Drama Tour, she wanted "to just finish" it and "have stability for her kids."

​The tattler further shared that the WAP rapper "never closed the door completely" on Stefon because she "still cares about him a lot."

​And, the NFL player "stepped it up a few weeks ago and showed her that he wants to make it work."

​For Stefon, the source added, "It was enough of an effort to get her attention."

​It is pertinent to mention that Cardi and Stefon began dating back in May 2025 and welcomed a son together in November of the same year.

​Their split rumor became obvious during the 2026 Super Bowl in February.

​Cardi B is also a mom to three kids, whom she welcomed with estranged husband, Offset. The pair is still legally married as they have not finalized their divorce.
