Nancy Guthrie's mystery just got messier on 100th day of disappearance

It has been 100 days, and there's still no clue about where Nancy Guthrie is, leaving family and well-wishers in pain.

Yet, on the 100th day of her being missing, a bombshell report emerged.

And the case just got messier.

Already, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who is in charge of the case, has been under scrutiny.

He has been under fire for his approach in the investigations, which have so far produced no suspect.

Now, the Arizona Republic, a daily paper, has raised further questions on Nanos.

It quoted Pima County Assessor Suzanne Droubi, who claimed the sheriff allegedly scolded her.

She alleges Nanos berated her for handing over information to the FBI regarding Nancy's case.

The sheriff disapproved of this because it created more work for his department, Droubi claims.

“I felt like there was an insinuation that I had done something wrong by cooperating with the FBI,” the county official told the daily.

In response, the department issued an icy statement on the explosive report.

"I’ve been advised that there is no additional information to provide."

Nanos has already been facing calls to drop Nancy's case; this report may further heap the criticism on him.
