Charli xcx reveals total panic before acting debut but then things changed
Charli xcx is set to feature in a string of edgy movies this year
Charli xcx's acting debut this year. She has several projects scheduled for release from 2025 to 2026.
But initially, she admits she was fearful of acting in front of the camera.
However, the pop singer says she fought back at her fears in an interview with Vogue.
“I went feeling so like, ‘What the f*** am I doing here?'” she says.
When she began working on set, Charli shared that her fears vanished; in fact, she felt amazing.
“I was like, ‘Okay, let me just see how this makes me feel. ' And it made me feel really amazing.”
Still, the British singer, who has a successful career, acknowledges the fear of doing something new.
She refers to her music career, “It can be scary to leave something behind that you're known for, then risk it all trying to do something else."
Nevertheless, Charli's experience on the sets of her projects was remarkable.
"I feel so lucky to be on set with so many actors and directors I admire."
With a strong desire to learn, the Boys hitmaker adds, "I have a hunger to learn and understand how other people do it.:
"I don't think I've ever felt like, ‘Wow, I killed that.' I feel ready to do it 1,000 times if necessary."
