Carrie Underwood reveals how she deals with 'toxic' online criticism
Carrie Underwood shares how she deals with plenty of hurtful comments from outsiders
Carrie Underwood has finally revealed how she deals with "toxic" online criticism.
The 43-year-old singer recently appeared on SiriusXM’s The Highway, where she shared her thoughts on the rise of internet.
“It’s evolved over time. My time on American Idol, you know, we kind of had like message boards and things like that, and it was kind of the beginning of just meanness online, I guess,” said Carrie.
“I feel like they have to deal with so much more of that now," she continued. "And we just are in a world right now where we forget that we’re watching human beings do things, and it’s so easy to talk about that."
“It’s no longer like water cooler chats,” said the Remind Me songstress. “I never would have known about what people were talking about in school or whatever, and now you can just say it online."
"So, that’s a thing that everybody’s got to have to navigate. I promise you someday you won’t care, but right now I know they do care, added Carrie.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Before He Chats hitmaker clarified that he has no "beef" with Nikki Glaser.
